Rescue

Perhaps because Manchesters are a rare breed, relatively few tend to end up at shelters or in situations requiring rescue. When dogs are available for placement, they will be featured on this page and we encourage those interested in rescue to also visit the American Manchester Terrier Club's Rescue page or the Manchester Terrier Rescue Facebook page.

If you know of a Manchester Terrier in need or if you are interested in supporting the CMTC's rescue program, please contact our Rescue Chair.

Identifying Manchester Terriers
It can be tough to distinguish between a Manchester Terrier and other types of small or medium-sized black and tan dogs.  If you are with a rescue group and need assistance, please refer to our handy cheat sheet for tips on Identifying Manchester Terriers or contact us directly for assistance.
