to an American buyer and will probably be shown at New York.

and he feels his loss greatly.

BROOMFIELD SULTAN
The black and tan Terrier,
Broomfield Sultan, was whelped September 15, 1889, and was bred by Mr.
T. Ellis, Manchester, England. He is owned by the Rochelle
Kennels, New Rochelle, N.Y., and has won numerous prizes both in England
and America, including 1st open class Crystal Palace, 1890, in a class
of 59; 1st junior class and special for best dog or bitch of the breed
in show; 1st novice Leeds; 1st novice, Birmingham; 1st Darlington; 1st
Bacups, 1890. In America, 1st and special for best dog of breed,
New York; 1st Washington; 1st and 2 specials, Chicago; 1st Hamilton; 1st
Toronto; 1st and special, Ottawa; 1st and special, Montreal, 1891.
He is a grand Terrier, good back and stern, grand legs and feet, and
good head.
